Oh, Canada

A shorter post this week as everyone including self is hard at work preparing to spend some of the weekend resting, in-between various house and back yard chores. Vacations, a wise friend once said, is just a reorganization of when the work happens. It doesn’t make the work disappear. But we keep trying.

In the Ottawa Citizen this week I awarded the Canada Day trophy to the Bloc Québécois for its enduring respect for our institutions of governance. This may cause some people to fall off their lawn chair, but it does say many good things about the country.

I hope you find some time to rest and that the weather is just perfect for beer wherever this long weekend finds you.
